I am the daughter of one of the greatest actors in the history of South Korea, Lee Byung Hun, with one of the greatest actresses in Brazil, Maria Fernanda Cândido. My parents met on the set of a movie they were making, they fell in love quickly, a love so great that after two years they got married, in 1992, and shortly after, in 1993, my mother got pregnant and had me. I was named Lee Sarang in Korean, and Naimi Cândido Lee in Brazilian nationality.
I had a quiet childhood with my parents in London, but I was always a communicative child who liked to always have a microphone in my hand, singing and performing for my parents and family. When I was 14, with the help of my father, I got a trainee spot at SM Entertainment. At first I was going to be part of a girl group, but the company realized that my voice and my way of performing, with a stronger and firmer voice, matched a lot with a group of 12 boys that would debut as EXO. And so, after a lot of training, setting, fatigue and an incredible bond that was created between us, I debuted with EXO, being the first female idol within an all-male group.
From the beginning EXO was a success, a consolidated group that wins several awards, and even with the departure of Kris, Luhan and Tao, we remain strong as 10 brothers who don't let go of each other's hands.
